Velocity Formula is a high-protein, highly fortified milk replacer designed for advanced feeding and management of dairy replacement heifers. Years of research by universities and Kent Nutrition Group has shown heifers on an intensive feeding program may: obtain 60% more growth in the first 6 weeks of life; calve earlier (22-24 months); and have over a $200 economic advantage during their first lactation.
Velocity Formula is the first step in a feeding program designed to allow biologically normal growth in dairy calves. For best results, pair with Velocity pelleted feeds.
24% protein, from milk proteins and plasma, and 18% high-quality fat get calves off to a healthy start.
Helps support the immune system, improve gains and intakes, and reduce the effects of stress in calves.
Formulated to provide the levels of trace minerals and vitamins, including B vitamins, to maximize calf nutrition.

Feed 3-4 quarts of first milk colostrum immediately after birth (need to provide 100 g of IgG). Feed 2-4 additional quarts within 12 hours of birth and feed 2-4 more quarts at 24 hours of age. Always use the highest quality colostrum available. If necessary, use an esophageal feeder. Do not let the calf determine intake. Begin milk replacer feeding on the second day of life.
Water should always be available. If water is fed in same bucket as milk replacer, provide water within 5-10 minutes of feeding milk replacer. Extra care must be taken to assure bottle fed calves consume water. Feed milk replacer according to the following guidelines. Reduce feeding rate of milk replacer by 25-50% (or eliminate 1 feeding per day) 7 days before desired weaning to further increase starter intake.

1. Provide clean, fresh water at all times
2. Start feeding Kent Calf Starter when calves are 4 days old. Start with a small amount (0.5 lb) and gradually increase as the calf’s consumption increases. Provide a fresh amount each day to stimulate consumption.
3. Wean calves when consuming at least 2 lbs of calf starter per day for 3 consecutive days.
Mix 10 ounces (0.63 lb) of milk replacer plus 2 quarts of warm (110°F) water. Add powder to water and mix vigorously. Use of cooler water requires greater mixing action and increases the possibility of the powder settling out. Feed immediately.
