Q&A with Logan Lafrenz, Territory Sales Manager April 30, 2021 April 30, 2021 At Kent, we are passionate about the beef industry. The desire for a better beef feed is what started the company in 1927 and continues to drive our efforts today. A big part of the driving force behind our innovations is the passion our team has for the beef industry. To learn more about what fuels our teams’ passion, we asked some of them a few questions. LOGAN LAFRENZ – Southeast Iowa and Northeast Missouri Q: How long have you had cattle and/or been part of the beef industry? A: I have been a part of the beef industry in some capacity my entire life. I grew up helping my family’s purebred Angus cow/calf operations and began exhibiting cattle at the county and state level at a young age. I have always enjoyed being a part of the cattle industry and am blessed to have the opportunity to raise seed stock cattle with my family. Q: What is the most enjoyable part of being in the beef industry? A: There are many benefits of being in the beef industry, but for me the most enjoyable part is having the opportunity to meet and work with exceptional people every day. Regardless of the role that you play, we are all working together toward the common goal of making our industry better. This network will continue to get stronger as we push forward through the highs and lows in the years to come. Q: What Kent product(s) do you feel have made a difference for you or your customers? A: Our operation utilizes the Kent Framework 365 Mineral program year-round for our cow herd and we have been very pleased with consistent daily intake, conception (utilizing both artificial insemination and natural service) and overall cow/calf health. Not only does the Framework 365 Mineral program work for me, but my customers continue to see success with it as well! Q: What is your favorite cut of beef? A: Ribeye Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Print Email Related Posts Jillian’s #MyTrustStory for Blue Seal Read how Rooster and Forrest — Jillian’s rehabilitated standardbreds — inspired the recent opening of Peaceful Haven Farm, where horses can regain a healthy mind, body and soul, thanks in… Read More Charly’s #MyTrustStory for Blue Seal Barrel-racing quarter horses, frisbee-obsessed aussie/collies and an O.G. lady (a.k.a. an elderly layer hen) named Gwenny — they mean everything to Charly, the teacher turned stay-at-home mom who runs Forever… Read More Meet Mary Schroeder — Senior Formulations Manager Mary Schroeder oversees a formulation team that works with Kent Nutrition Group’s nutritionists to develop new products, deliver new formulas to manufacturing facilities and evaluate costs for each ingredient.
